Classification of Multiagent Systems

چکیده
A taxonomic classification of multiagent systems is constructed based on how the agents share resources. A formal description of a single intelligent agent is considered first. A system of multiple intelligent agents is viewed, formally, as a collection of these single agents. Coupling between agents is defined as the degree to which agents share resources. By analyzing the coupling between the agents, systems of multiple agents are classified into eight coupling classes.

Multiagent Learning for Open Systems: A Study in Opponent Classification
Open systems are becoming increasingly important in a variety of distributed, networked computer applications. Their characteristics, such as agent diversity, heterogeneity and fluctuation, confront multiagent learning with new challenges. This paper presents the interaction learning meta-architecture InFFrA as one possible answer to these challenges, and introduces the opponent classification ...
متن کاملA Multiagent Reinforcement Learning algorithm to solve the Community Detection Problem
Community detection is a challenging optimization problem that consists of searching for communities that belong to a network under the assumption that the nodes of the same community share properties that enable the detection of new characteristics or functional relationships in the network. Although there are many algorithms developed for community detection, most of them are unsuitable when ...
متن کاملSolving the flexible job shop problem by hybrid metaheuristics-based multiagent model
The flexible job shop scheduling problem (FJSP) is a generalization of the classical job shop scheduling problem that allows to process operations on one machine out of a set of alternative machines. The FJSP is an NP-hard problem consisting of two sub-problems, which are the assignment and the scheduling problems. In this paper, we propose how to solve the FJSP by hybrid metaheuristics-based c...
متن کاملApplying multiagent simulation to planetary surface operations
This paper describes a multiagent modeling and simulation approach for designing cooperative systems. Issues addressed include the use of multiagent modeling and simulation for the design of human and robotic operations, as a theory for human/robot cooperation on planetary surface missions. We describe a design process for cooperative systems centered around the Brahms modeling and simulation e...
متن کاملA Review of Norms and Normative Multiagent Systems
Norms and normative multiagent systems have become the subjects of interest for many researchers. Such interest is caused by the need for agents to exploit the norms in enhancing their performance in a community. The term norm is used to characterize the behaviours of community members. The concept of normative multiagent systems is used to facilitate collaboration and coordination among social...
